Jargon Media LLC is currently seeking 1,200-3,000 word articles that analyse the affect Facebook or other social networking sites such as MySpace and Twitter have on life and death situations. This will be a fun, intriguing book with a diverse collection of articles including a few statistics that will shock, a few stories that will make you laugh, and a few quotes that will make you think WTF?! The tone is friendly, down-to-earth, and conversational. We seek articles that explore the broad implications of the following topics (please do not submit personal anecdotes).

Topics in demand:

  • Site's relationship with the military
  • Site's relationship with universities/education
  • VT shooting
  • Suicide prevention
  • Getting arrested
  • Twitter and charities/celebrities
  • Affect on business/marketing
  • Having children
  • GPA suffers / Failing school

Please include a 100+ word story pitch and a list of specific, potential sources you intend to talk to. Also, please attach a writing sample. Compensation is a by-line and a free copy of the final publication.
